Whether you are a casual home game player or a seasoned grinder, 979ph has the right poker table for you. Cash games, Sit & Go, MTT tournaments, and live dealer poker — all accessible with a single GCash deposit. Tara na, shuffle up and deal!
From micro-stakes beginners' tables to high-roller cash games — there is always a seat waiting for you.
Poker has always had a special place in Filipino gaming culture. From neighbourhood home games around a bamboo table to weekend barkada tournaments, Pinoys have always loved the strategy, the bluffing, and the thrill of reading your opponents. 979ph brings that same energy online, with a poker room that is fast, fair, and built for how Filipino players actually like to play.
When you open the poker lobby at 979ph, the first thing you notice is how straightforward everything is. Tables are clearly labelled by variant, blind level, and number of players waiting. You are never hunting for a seat — there are always active cash game tables across multiple stake levels, from beginner-friendly ₱10/₱20 blinds all the way up to high-roller ₱2,000/₱4,000 tables for players who want serious action.
Texas Hold'em is of course the flagship variant at 979ph, and it is the most popular by a wide margin among Filipino players. The No-Limit Hold'em cash tables run around the clock, and the action rarely slows down — especially during peak hours in the evening when thousands of Pinoy players are logged in. Whether you prefer a tight, disciplined style or a loose-aggressive approach that keeps opponents guessing, you will find tables that match your game.
For players looking to expand their game, 979ph also offers Pot-Limit Omaha — a variant that deals four hole cards instead of two, creating dramatically bigger pot sizes and more complex hand decisions. Omaha Hi-Lo is available too, splitting the pot between the best high hand and the best low hand. These games attract experienced players who have mastered Hold'em and want a new challenge. 979ph makes it easy to try both with low-stakes trial tables where the minimum buy-in is just ₱200.
Tournament poker at 979ph is where some of the most exciting moments happen. The daily schedule includes Sit & Go tournaments that start automatically once the seats fill up — perfect for players who want fast, structured competition without waiting for a fixed start time. Multi-Table Tournaments run on a set schedule and feature guaranteed prize pools. The flagship event, the 979ph Sunday Grand Prix, carries a guaranteed ₱500,000 prize pool and attracts hundreds of Filipino players every week. The top finishers walk away with life-changing payouts, and even a min-cash is a solid return on a modest buy-in.
979ph's live dealer poker section is a standout feature. Instead of playing against an algorithm, you sit across from a real human dealer streamed in HD. The most popular live poker format is Casino Hold'em, where you play against the dealer rather than other players — which makes it much more accessible for beginners who are still developing their table skills. Teen Patti, a card game hugely popular across Southeast Asia, is also available in the live lobby and has attracted a strong Filipino following since its launch at 979ph.
One thing that sets 979ph apart from other online poker rooms is the payment experience. Depositing is genuinely effortless — scan a GCash QR code, confirm the amount in pesos, and your chip stack is loaded in under 30 seconds. You can also use Maya, GrabPay, InstaPay, or any major Philippine bank through PESONet. Withdrawals are just as smooth. Cash out to your GCash wallet and the funds arrive within minutes, not hours or days like with some international platforms.
For new poker players, 979ph has put together a series of beginner-friendly resources including hand ranking guides, basic strategy articles, and low-stakes practice tables where you can get comfortable without risking serious money. The community forums and live chat support are also active spaces where experienced players share tips and discuss strategy — all in a friendly, kabayan atmosphere.
Security and fairness are non-negotiable at 979ph. The poker room's RNG is independently certified, ensuring that card dealing is completely random and immune to manipulation. Anti-collusion software monitors tables in real time to detect any suspicious coordinated play. Your account funds are held in segregated accounts and protected by 256-bit SSL encryption. When you sit down at a 979ph poker table, you know the game is straight and your money is safe.

Real feedback from real Filipino poker players on 979ph.
"I used to play poker only with my barkada on weekends, but since I joined 979ph I play almost every night after work. The tables are always full and the competition is good without being overwhelming. Withdrew ₱18,000 last week through GCash and it cleared in maybe 4 minutes. Solid platform."
"The Sunday Grand Prix at 979ph is the highlight of my week. I've made the final table twice and cashed ₱42,000 on my second run. The tournament software is smooth, blind levels are fair, and the chat with other Filipino players is really fun. Mas masaya pa dito kaysa sa live casino!"
"I'm still learning Texas Hold'em and the low-stakes tables at 979ph have been perfect for practicing. The hand history feature helps me review my mistakes. Support answered my question about the rake structure in under 3 minutes via chat. Four stars — would be five once they add more Omaha tournaments."
